I do the same method for people who want insulation here in MN.
I don't have insulation in mine and have never seen the need. As some of you know I've built a couple hundred small cabins. I'll build then either way. I make more money insulating a floor then not. I do warn customers that since heat rises, the insulated floors are still cooler than you might expect, and if you don't insulate, you might blame the lack of insulation that for the cool floor. A cold wind blowing under the cabin is more of a problem. If we have snow I bank up the edges. Very cozy indeed.
