I recently spent a lot of time looking at the hybreds of conventional design which include Gambrel roofs and A-frames and it occurs to me that
the Gambrell really should be the best for smaller structures but not
as a roof. We have seen the commercial sheds sold by Home Depot and
many have Gambrel or Barn roofs but why not tilt the walls as well
thereby giving some AFrame benefit. take a look at attached pics.
Granted the structure does not have loft space but for what could be
made from 2x4 and plywood, I think it would have to be pretty cheap
and easy.
As I have read, if you do the "SaveLink As" you should be able to
see the full size images

Built this one as a guest cabin . 8x13 ,2 bedroom loft with standing room to change . sleept 6 ,48 in. kitchen ,pull out sofa .fold down table..
