Small Cabin Forum / Cabin Construction / Scissor trusses and knee wall

okbing Member	# Posted: 5 Apr 2015 12:23pm Reply  Planning new shower house at cabin. Would like to have it be a 1 1/2 story building . Narrow area looking at 12x16. Read a lot of the posts about knee walls and hinge issue. Do scissor trusses help eliminate that issue?
Don_P Member	# Posted: 5 Apr 2015 01:09pm Reply  Yes. The truss designer will be able to tell you how much the truss feet will spread under design load, work to minimize that and you're good.
