Yep... our empire continues to expand with the addition of an 8 x 6 screen room.
It was designed so that it would be relatively easy to close up and insulate but for now we are just really enjoying not stepping on the dog or tripping over shoes.
Without the time (or skills lol) we farmed out the project to a local handyman out of Bancroft. He was fantastic to work with.
Can't wait to enjoy some bug-free warm weather.

Very nice. Reminds me of a story. I planted a plum tree, and the first year it produced one plum. Second year, it produced two plums. So, I proudly told everyone that I had doubled production in one year!
Looks nice. You've just reduced shoe tripping by 50%, but the dog will probably prefer the porch as well so you still have that problem.

@bldginsp - I'm going to have to remember that story. Very fitting lol And ya... she took to the porch right away probably for her own safety.
@Julie - Thanks! We are very pleased with the work. He actually drove over 2 hours to get that door for us.

Looks awesome and I bet you you will make great use of that extra space!
After visiting a friends camp, with a small sun room, I'm considering adding one myself. My plan is to do almost the same as you have and just add the floor and framing to the front of my camp and extend the roof. I'm hoping that there are enough aluminum storm windows in the ol man's stash to do the front and one side. Then perhaps a small old cook stove for the remaining side. Still mauling over the size. It will be 10' to match the width of the camp and extend out 4' or 6'.
Your set up looks like exactly what I'm after and has provided more motivation. Now to save my pennies.

@ 1300 - Thanks for the feedback. And yes, we have very similar setups which is why I subscribed to your thread. Lots of great ideas on using space. I think a sun room would look great on your cabin. Go for it!

Always a pleasure to give someone a chuckle. Yes, my mind....a bit fractured. Sometimes heart attack serious, most times full of mirth.
All the time in awe of this thing...life.
