Good Day everyone

Well I was perusing the news and came across this article which intrigued me and as it is about Cabins and some interesting ideas for them, I figured I'd share the links here for everyone to enjoy.

The Main Article
Cabins of the future campaign sees over 60 designs

The Project
Forest International : Clear the Air (the design submissions)

Some of these designs are a bit adventurous but there are some really good design ideas & concepts... Dare I say, even a couple of "Damn, I wish I had seen that before I built...".

Enjoy & I hope it sparks a flurry of ideas & possibilities.

I like 64 The House with Horns; 109 The Suncatcher; and 111 The Sixty Degrees Cabin. I do like series of triangles, even if they are really impractical and would be a nightmare adjusting to meet code.

We're all the designers 'city folk'? I'm rather astounded at most of the designs. So many pictures of them set in the deep woods yet looking like what a city dweller would design, essentially bringing the comfort of the office cubical to the great outdoors.

Might as well build a "good neighbour fence" a few feet from the walls to complete the sense of urban exclusion.

LOL that's funny. You have a point. What else is funny is your complaint is exactly the reason why I liked several of the designs... I'm one of those 'city folks' that would like to live in the country .
