Trying to decide between sonotube or 6 x 6 notched
pressure treated post..

No codes to worry about..

What and HOW would decide between these two options.

I'm all for sonotube. The farther wood is from the ground the better. Pressure treat will rot like normal wood

Can you get a concrete truck in there? If not, you'll be hand mixing a lot of bags of concrete for sonotubes.

Just buy a cheap cement mixer. Sell it afterwards, keep it or loan it out to a friend

Here is a 16x24 foundation with 3 piles up front that are lower to accommodate the porch. The beams are 6x12 - 24 length ways and 6x12-16 in the front.

These are called helical piers, they sit about 5' deep. We have frost to about 4' on bad years.

We own a concrete mixer/ no trucks can get there..

We have decide on concrete method. Going to fasten a double 2x12 beam for the 24 foot run and use joist hangers with 2 x 8 for the 12 foot span.. Any issues with this.
