Just ordered a 'low level fast acting CO alarm' from Forensics Detectors On sale now, free shipping in US I think I read about them on the diysolar.com site where there was a good discussion and the link. Convinced me that the typical hardware store/home center models are not good enough for us. Friends, pls at least take a look.

Quoting: gcrank1 Forensics Detectors
Good test equipment. We have used their propane/nat gas probe meter for years. I have one of the car aircraft CO meters in the Bearhawk and shop.
The CO meters still have an end-of-life of about 10 years from production date as sensors lose sensitivity as they just sit there.

Good to hear! Just received it today, tidy little unit for $100 inc the shipping (a substantial discount off the reg price) and with batteries. The one thing I was concerned about considering that 10ish year life was the production date. No prob, mine is dated Jan 2024 . Im going to use it in the house for now, no reason not to!

I agree with you on the low-level fast acting monitors. I’ve been using the [Forensics Detectors](https://www.forensicsdetectors.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) Car Aircraft CO monitor as well and it’s been great for catching those small CO changes during taxi, run-up, or with the door cracked open. Definitely gives more confidence compared to the old spot cards. Good to hear yours came with a recent production date too since sensor age really does matter on these units.
