My recycle yard pal gave me a fiver of kerosene. My cooking, water heating are lp, what can I use it for? Throw a cup in the wood stove for starting? Cleaning solvent?

Use it with a "Cape Cod Firestarter" to light a fire.

Do you leave those cape cods half full?

My backhoe is a diesel, could I pour it in that?

It will be fine in that. Up here #1 Diesel (sometimes called winter diesel) is mostly Kerosene anyway!

Although I would rather use it in hurricane lamps. I love the old school feeling of them!

Thanks guys. Well I don’t need the backhoe right now, no hurricanes and the cape cod sounds like fun but for the summer I’ll just put it in the shed with the other jugs of flammables.

I used it in an oil lamp in the living room at night and in an old mustard bottle to light camp fires.
