I have been trying to use one for past couple days but capacity is contrary to Reviews it is not what they have been claiming especially when it refuses to charge above 13.80. Anyone else have some experience with Group 24 ?

No specific experience with a group 24 KFP.

But battery group size should have absolutely nothing to do with setting one up to charge. There is no battery group setting on any charger. Only the battery chemistry setting: flooded, AGM, LFP, User defined, etc. Plus the various voltage settings; absorb, float, etc.

Some LFP brands may have slightly different settings for absorb or float, but basically if the charge controller was working fine with an XYZ brand LFP battery and you change to an ABC branded LFP battery of the same nominal voltage, that battery should charge and be usable like the first one. There can be different max amps charge or discharge rates, but that depends on the mfg specs.

Are the mfg suggested settings correctly entered into the charger options?

Has this charger been used successfully with an LFP battery prior to this?

if it won't charge past 13.8 you probably have a cell imbalance. Cycling it a few times may help, but if you can hold it at or just under 13.8v for a while and give it some time to balance.
But if you can charge to 13.8, your getting almost all of the capacity anyway.
As MtnDon said, group means nothing, but brand might make a difference. I'd do a capacity check to see what your really getting and if its less than you need return it.

I bought 4 24s last Christmas for new replacements. Ran the cabin off them for a couple days just to test. Back on the old ones while still kicking. They did fine charging and discharging. No specific numbers.

At that time they had a slew of 100ah 24s so there may have been good and not so good. Mine were the cheapest, about $100 per. No idea whats available now.

I expect the 'Group 24' is for folks to know it will physically fit into a Grp 24 box or space since that size is typical for LA bats in marine or rv service.
Is this on a charger or solar?
If on solar is it just charging or do you have some usage going on?
Remember, an LFP that settles at 13.5 (after 12hrs) is essentially Fully Charged no matter what the top voltage you see is.
