Hi everyone, my name is Paul Head, and I’m a Casting Director based in Los Angeles (www.pauldhead.com). I’m also the VP of Casting & Development for Bodega Pictures, an unscripted television production company.

I’m currently working on a premium documentary series for a major cable network and am looking to cast one compelling off-grid family to star in their very own series. We’re seeking a dynamic, authentic family whose lifestyle and personalities can truly carry a long-form documentary series.

We’re interested in a family that has fully embraced a traditional, self-sustaining, back-to-basics way of life, living in tune with nature, far from modern conveniences and mainstream society. We are seeking families of four or more and casting in North America.

Selected families are compensated for their time and will star in their own documentary series, with the opportunity to showcase their lifestyle, values, and personalities while exploring the gap between modern and off-grid living in a thoughtful, premium format.

$500 Referral Fee: If you refer a family that we ultimately select and film with, we’re offering a $500 referral fee as a thank-you.

If this sounds like your family, or someone you know, or you simply want more information please feel free to message me here or email casting@bodegapictures.com.

Sounds like that show that was on PBS in 2002 called Frontier House. Paul, have you seen it? I think they did four different ones. One was maybe 1800's house. What you are suggesting I would like to see. You have to let this post cook for awhile, some folks take awhile to check in.
