I just thought that the off-grid 'niche' itself, although we all may have much in common to discuss, is by its nature isolationist so not like you go to your local tennis club and meet other like minded people.

I think there are a couple of facebook groups but I am anti-social media.

I am thinking maybe just start writing on a blog and have comments open/contact email (though have to protect from random spam) and see if people find it through search engines.

I am also not into this whole document your whole life in HD like the younger generation are so obsessed with so it isn't something that comes naturally to me divulging my life to the world.

I could maybe make it work in a way I find agreeable by just posting techy stuff/off-grid projects that interests me.

I achieved what I wanted to be mostly isolated but I am not so enlightened that it doesn't bother me to have almost 0 social contact.

I would just like to find a few more to connect with, remotely would be fine, in the general geographical area, as it is pretty different here to the US being so much smaller, with the challenges that brings with your neighbours being right up your ass only a few meters away.

Even the Man Dick Proenneke kept pen pals who still lived in civilization throughout his time in the wilds.
