Does this go from 110 to 220 split phase US, like to run a 220v pump? That 220 socket doesn't look familiar.

I bang nails and hire sparky for anything like this, so just a stab at it.
It looks like a double flat blade? If so look up a NEMA 6-15P, 15amps max@240V.
Looking at the posted specs it'll pull up to ~16.5 amps at 120V and produce about ~8.25 amps at 240V
I'm pretty sure our pump would let the magic smoke out of that if it is unprotected. Looking at my pump's specs, (put the stickers inside the breaker cover) 3/4 hp 6.8A 8 amps max at service factor. Motors take much more power to start. I wrote on the sticker 5500W but I don't recall ever plugging it into the genny.

Yep that looks like it. Time to run to hardware store. Thanks! In the mean time I plugged it into 120. With the volt meter on the output terminals it measures 65 volts (neutral terminal zero) but it runs a drill fine. With spades in the 220 output it says 120. Hmm.
