Before I touch a rock I found some invaluable information on my stream from the USGS that verified my worst suspicions, this mild little creek had a very dark side making any permanent structures or year round power generation nearly impossible because three months of the season Dec through Feb it grew from a meek mild 4 CFS flow to 400 to 700 CFS in the three months above, fortunately their records go back over 50 years showing the same pattern.
Definitely made me re-think.
