Living in 195 square feet can be challenging especially if trying to heat with wood, its either too hot or too cold, to much fire and not enough and come night time best to let it burn down an hour before hitting the sack or sure as shooting it will get too hot in the middle of the night if you stoked it so up you get, open the windows, wait till it cools down and back to bed just as the sun comes up.

Then there is the other side, cutting the wood, chopping it, storing it, bring it into the cabin, smoke, first aid, soot etc., and that is why this winter wood heat is for backup only while the primary heat will be the much cleaner, cheap to use and control Propane.

Since last April I have developed my own design heater/cooker been moving over to Propane and the numbers look very good at 4 gallons every two months including cooking or $4.98 a month to be comfortable, soot free no more dragging wood in and out, no more smoke backwashing or ash removal and IF it works as planned the wood stove could very well come out next Spring...yaaa!
