We have an Incinolet incinerator toilet. And it works very well. Very easy to hook. No odors. Ours is electric and uses 30 amps so we have a 2500w generator that does the trick.

I was thinking about one for home (required to be an approved unit) but they still require me to have an approved and permitted grey water system for the liquids from the T and the other sink and shower water. And I would have to remove the existing septic system! Then the new system still needs to be inspected every 3yr be 'ensure we are staying in compliance'.

There was an Incinolet in our cabin when we moved in that the previous owner offered to sell us but we didn't want it so he took it out. I'm told that they make a noise like a jet plane taking off when operating and stink downwind, is that true?
We went with a composting toilet instead, plus there's the outhouse out back.

I considered an Incenerator Toilet but being solar powered offgrid the energy usage math killed the notion. I went with a dry compost toilet with urine diversion into my grey water system. The first one was a DIY unit with sawdust and worked well. Then my daughter just could not use it properly (oi what a mess).
I decided to buy a commercial one that does not need Sawdust or anything and uses a small 12V fan to vent it... It is a Separett Tiny with Urine tube Link Here to manufacturer... Readily available from MANY Vendors. URL
Works like a charm, the "Ladies of all ages" have no problems using it and NO MESSES ! I can Highly Recomend it.
Hope it helps, Good Luck.

I can't say I've been in it in decades but it was mostly treated lumber and is still standing. I think it would still work after 40 years. It brought this WPA poster to mind, it was pretty easy to find just now on the Library of Congress website, cool.

Our Incinolet makes very little noise if any. And NO odors. Even downwind. It's a great thing for cabins. We just charge the batteries up while it works. 2500w generator does it
