I picked up 18' 1/0, 35' of 2 AWG, and 175' of 8 AWG 600v Marine grade Ancor wire for $20 at a barn sale. I think it's copper with individually tinned strands. Any reason this shouldn't be used for a solar setup? Thanks

If the wire is exposed to sunlight make certain the insulation is rated for that. With some wire the insulation will degrade with UV exposure and the outer layer will break down and come apart.
