I've been talking to a variety of vendors to install my system as i feel a bit uncomfortable with it even though i am somewhat adept at electric, (I roughed in the entire house and it passed muster with a Master electrician friend who inspected).

Have you all seen the Enphase

https://enphase.com/en-uk/products-and-services/storage

or the Sonnen products??

https://www.sonnen-batterie.com/en-us/start

Not inexpensive but the micro inverter is cool.

Thoughts???

Any idea on the price on these?

I've already built a similar lithium solar storage set up. And I'm right in the middle of building a solar powered / grid tied / grid feed / self consumption unit for my new in town art studio.

I should warn all. i got a little carried away buying stuff as I got some great wholesale deals. So now I'm selling some bits. I have 4.5kw of lithium storage with monitor for 1,100. And solar panels (Silfab 320s) at .60/w. Eastern Ontario pick up only.

If anyone is interested. (and apologies if this is too commercial).

I will be detailing the build on my blog later in March. Its kind of cool for us solar nerds. Basically I'll be storing solar for night fall and running an ashp (air source heat pump). Later I'll add charging for an electric car.

Lithium is the way to go. And with enphase and sonnen you know the engineering will be better than mine.

Ha!

Creeky I should have just pm'd you the links. I knew you'd jump in!!

I googled the sonnen and hit shopping. Did not find a price for the whole soup to nuts. Same w/enphase...but the storage products are just incredible...amazing. I like the micro inverters, although I am lost on the tech it does seem to make sense..

Surprisingly there are still some guys pushing the lead saying they do not trust the lithium.

I'm sure this is gonna cost a lot more than me doing it but this looks like a real long term solution.

Ain't technology great?
