I got 3 of these about 2 years ago. I did manage to ruin/break one of them, but the other 2 are still going strong. One has been in the cabin, and the other has been outside under a canvas gazebo most of the time. It has endured the weather and countless BBQ's with tons of smoke.
Anyone with a small/medium solar system might want to check into them.

Those are a great 12V option. Are they quiet?
There's also DC motored fans that run on AC now that are VERY efficient. Like 3-32W depending on speed, etc. I've been looking at the Minka-Aire brand myself.

I have two similar fans, wish they had a high/med/low setting...as they spin 200 mph lol...

@nate. They are pretty quiet actually. They use very little power. I think I might buy a couple more just to have around. They have a 28 inch model also.

Have you looked for a speed control? If it is a DC fan there are assorted controls available on ebay from China. I think almost any DC fan can use a DC speed control. Not so sure with an AC fan.
