We had planed a trip to the cabin several months ago but it ended up being the exact weekend of that horrible snow/ice storm so we thought we'd be good to push it out a week. Sorta... getting out of Texas was sketchy, we got mostly ice here but once we got north it was mostly snow and better. Once we got up in to the hills I was pretty concerned but turns out the plows had done a great job. Even the dirt roads except for spots here and there were great. Not so much for our driveway. It's probably a 1/4 long, we walked it first to see what we would be up against. That's when we started noticing the tracks, from all sorts of critters. It looked like a heard of deer had been through, and tons of turkey. Pretty neat to see it all in a perfect blanket of snow and ice.
