Small Cabin Forum / Nature / Carpenter Ants

yankeesouth Member	# Posted: 10 Apr 2012 15:12 Reply  Anyone have a good remedy for getting rid of carpenter ants? I can't seem to find the queen and have put everything from powders to foams trying to get them. I am about ready to call an exterminator.
bobrok Member	# Posted: 10 Apr 2012 22:02 Reply  Spend more time looking for the queen...it's your best (only) chance of ridding yourself of this infestation...even if you have to sleep in the loft or lay on the ground under your camp for an afternoon and watch them. They do have trails that you will ultimately discover if you concentrate hard enough on watching them. Once you locate the queen you know what to do.
