My favorite event is a non event... not having any more snow. Friday night we had 4 inches, Saturday 3 more during day and 2 more overnight. 70% chance of more today (1 to 2) and tonight (1 to 3). We're going home now, instead of tomorrow.

We have a small stream behind our trailer that only really flows in the spring with run off. It's nice to leave the window open and listen to it at night in bed.

I have a narrow, fairly deep wash at the back of my property. Only runs a few times per year. When it does, neighbors not on the wash will come over for BBQ, and sit by the fire pit listening to my magical creek. Haha! I also get the the same treat after heavy rains further up the mountain. Which in AZ don't happen very often.

Renting a rotovator for the tractor (a 6' rototiller) and tilling the garden. Well, then out there till dark with a 5 gallon bucket, we grow bumper crops of rocks

My favorite event is switching from melting snow to the water catchment system. I still need to watch the temperatures because the water inside the pump mat freeze overnight and destroy the pump. So it have to bring the RV style pump indoors at night.

I enjoy spring fishing at the cabin. I enjoy watching plant life and nature come to life. The sounds of spring are awesome and enjoy that part of it also.

Went up for the the first time this year on Sunday. I enjoy coming around the bend in the driveway and seeing that everything (almost everything in this case) is still standing! I really enjoy going inside and turning on the power switch and finding our that the good old Trojan T-105s have lasted another cold, frozen winter and, despite all the snow, the panels have kept everything going.
What I did not like this time around was seeing the the dam(n) beavers had been at it and taking down popular trees, including this one right by the cabin (and my clothesline) . Then it got worse when I realized that a tree that had one of my game cameras in it was completely gone. I assume the camera is sitting inside the beaver lodge - maybe still snapping pictures??

I like sitting on the front porch waiting for light and listing to the birds waking up. I like to walk in the woods and study the new growth, from trees to ferns. Spring is a wonderful time.

Quoting: creeky One of my favorite activities. the spring paddle
That was my wife and sons favorite activity this past weekend, I drove them up and they paddled five miles back to the cabin.

Sadly, spring is not my favorite time at the cabin. No paddling for me, my day was:

 1. Install new park grill
 2. Get the stupid lawnmower running
 3. Mow
 4. Stop mowing to pick up the billion sticks
 5. Mow
 6. Check everything else at the cabin and figure out what will need to be done this year
 7. Drink beer

Okay, I admit number seven wasn't too bad.

I enjoy working hard & playing hard throughout the day then riding to the neighbors and enjoying a margarita among friends while relaxing by the fire pit.

I am blessed with great neighbors, close enough to lend a hand if needed yet far enough away that chainsaws and gunshots are not a bother.
