I am looking for a new property and pretty flexible as to where.

What would you do if you could, within reason, do anything.

Friends of mine are selling their property along the 401 due to the tick apocalypse. They have dogs. I was looking at a property in PEC and the realtor said the ticks have exploded there in the last five years.

I'm not delusional in that there will be no bugs, but the tick thing seems out of control.

Just wondering what other pitfalls or ideas people have for regions.

I have been looking as far north as South River and North Bay, and East towards Halliburton and Perth.

Any ideas? I am still relatively new to Ontario so most of it is still discovering things.

Thanks
JM

By going north you will get less ticks but you will add blackflies and Deer flies.
Blackflies pretty much mean we spend June elsewhere. Normally deer flies are manageable but this year they were horrible
As much as I hate ticks. If you spray your clothes you can still enjoy the outdoors. Deer flies on the other hand don’t care about any spray

For me, Top 3 priorities would be..

1. Unorganized Township
2. Unorganized Township
3. Unorganized Township
