Hey All,
After lurking around this forum for years, I am lucky enough to start posting my own cabin.
Here's a few picture of the site. We spent the last year going out and scouting a location on the property.

While we waited for the ground to thaw, I built the outhouse in parts and then took them out to the site once we could dig a bit. Now that it's (mostly) done, we're starting the cabin foundation.

Wow...those are some beefy runners there! What size is the cabin? Are you planning on a porch or something on the front that you left the runners extending past the rim joist?

It's 10x14.
And yes, the plan is to have a deck coming off of the front.

Insulation (2x R10) installed, and subfloor on.

Northern or southern Alberta?
Our cabin is on a 1/4 section up near Athabasca.
