To Anonymous: I assumed that any reader (at least one who is capable of doing or understanding any form of economic analysis) would realize that a "fixed cost" usually means something that's common to all scenarios, so it doesn't affect the bottom line. Sorry about the confusion. I guess I'll have to start typing slower so I don't get ahead of folks who don't read that fast . I had and have health insurance and agree with your position on the matter 100%.
