Hey everybody,
I have been following the forum for a while. Love teh supportive nature of the members and thought it was my turn to share.
We bought 80 acres about 2 hours north of Toronto two years ago . Access is only by ATV which has presented some challenges. The upside is that we are the only property on the lake!
I have spent the last two years working on it -- upgrading access mostly.
It had an old log cabin that we had hoped to refurbish. Turned out it was in too rough a shape so last year we started to build We decided to build a 20x16 with a loft using the same footprint as the exisitng cabin.
Some pictures of the land, lake and cabin are attached.

The next part of the project involves building a 16X24 deck surrounding the west (lake) and south sides.

great looking spot and cabin.
You got all that lumber there, the access must be not that bad now...

The cabin is Georgian Bay area. As for access it is better now but depends on the conditions. Early spring still results in cirmcustances like.....

Oh beautiful spot!!! I'm originally from Ontario. I lived many years in Barrie. I love that your place is only accessed by ATV! It must be so peaceful on that lake. I bet you see moose there. Do you have any pics of the inside? Congratulations on a fabulous purchase and build!!!!
