Hi everybody

I just stumbled on your forum while avoiding work and wanted to post my project for the world to see. My cabin is on 32 acres I own in central PA. Its 12 x 24 with a 12 x 12 upstairs. In the pic you can see Im working on adding the porch and bathroom addition.
The main cabin sits on 13 12" concrete piers, some are topped with large hard maple logs for added height and anchored to the concrete.
The front 3 logs are catching rain so I am in the process of removing them and adding more concrete.
The siding is cedar shingle and I am slowly completing it to ease the pain of the cost of the shingles.
I will post more pics later of the other sides and the inside.

Thanks for looking

Will

Very nice Willtest100. What sort of bathroom "system" are you putting in?

I am probably going to go the humanure route.
My water system will be rainwater with holding tanks on the second floor for pressure and grey water collection to use on the garden and food plots

Welcome to the forum, willtest00.
Nice place you have there. Like your cabin.
Does that wood stove produces enough heat to heat both floors?

Thanks for the welcome
We put in that wood burner last year cause it was a free bee.
But the only time it had problems keeping up was when it got down to 7 degrees outside
I do plan to get a larger one this winter.

I love the window shutters.
I am thinking of doing something similar and didn't know if I wanted to do internal shutters to block the light or external for added security.

Do they lock from the inside? Please post more pictures or sketch of how they work.
