First, to introduce myself, my name is Josh. I'm a 21 year old student who hates cleaning, likes simplicity, and enjoys building things. Originally, I planned a container house, but from there, I kept downsizing until I reached a 10x12 floor plan.
There is a picture of the floor plan attached to this post for you all to critique. It will likely be on the grid, but eventually move off grid. Therefore, the toilet is a non-electric composting toilet, and the stove, refrigerator, and heater will be powered by propane.
In the plan, the pink area represents a sleeping loft that will be reached by a wall-mounted ladder that attaches to the right of the door as one enters the cabin.
The cabin's exterior profile will be 9' at the "north" wall above the door. The roof will rise to 14' at the "south" end of the cabin.
Let me know what y'all think.

Here is the attached plan.
On a side-note, this plan was created using www.floorplanner.com, which allows you one free plan, to which you can make unlimited changes.

No frame-up pics yet, just planning. I've still got a year left of college, so I don't own anywhere to build it yet unless I want to put it on my parents' farm land in SE Kansas.
Like the looks of yours. Is it just a weekend cabin or what?

How are things going Klugh? I should have done this when I got done with school. I am taking a few steps back and looking to simplify. Any developments with your cabin?
