The crooked tree between the truck and trailer is the same tree behind the pickup in this picture from about 5 months ago

Next project is going to be a few truckloads of gravel for the driveway... that is, if the rain today didn't rut out the bulldozer work I had done last weekend. If it did, it messed up all the work my neighbor just had done as well so the bulldozer will be on the property again anyway. After that I just have everything else to do

City power is about 1/4 mile away, so for now power comes from a Deka 9A31 battery and a cheapie Vector 175W inverter. Picking up another battery as soon as the guy gets another batch of these and upgrading to a Xantrex 600W sine wave inverter in the Spring. Hate hauling batteries back and forth but can't afford a nice generator so this will get my by for the next year or two

I picked up this solar kit for $130 on sale. It does a good job of keeping our 2 RV batteries topped off while camping. We use it for lights, music, computers, etc. Nothing heavy duty.

If you are only at your property on weekends it has all week to top your batteries off.

At full price not a good deal but when it hits half price probably a really good deal.

Right now that kit is "on sale" for $170 so I'm not buying just yet. Next time they get that cheap I'm picking up 2

 Rob_O,

Here is another option. Just found some inexpensive small panels at sunelec.com. Get two 42watt panels or two 60watt panels and a charge controller for about the same amount as two HF kits.

 2 - SUN-60Wp - $186

 1 - SunSaver-SS-10 Charge Cont. - $64
