We have been looking for over a year for affordable materials to do the ceiling in our 12 x 24 cabin. We finally ran across a place in Tulsa selling reclaimed redwood for $100/pallet. Wife and I drove up there and loaded up a pallet and there is probably about 3 times what we needed for the ceiling but the price was right. The boards are 5" wide, at least 4' long and thickness varies from maybe 1/8" to almost 1/2" and I tried to sort out and use pieces between 3/16" and 3/8". The thickness variance lends to a more "rustic" look and we are very pleased with it. Hopefully when we go back up over Thanksgiving we can finish it and later maybe put on a coat of linseed oil.![Ceiling_1.jpg Ceiling_1.jpg](https://www.small-cabin.com/forum/shared_files/uploaded/9418/129808_1.jpg) Ceiling_1.jpg
