Hey hows it going. Just found this forum, looks like a ton of good information around here. Wish I would have found it before I built my cabin, would have saved me a lot of time and effort I've lived here about 5 years now, its held together so far. I'm about an hour west of Nashville, way on out in the woods in a little community called Hidden Valley Lakes, I call it a redneck gated community. My cabin is 12x16 with a loft upstairs, and an 8x8 bathroom built onto the side. I'm looking forward to absorbing some knowledge here. I'm a welder/fabricator, but had a few construction jobs growing up. I know enough to get myself in trouble, but have really been studying up lately on construction practices. Been learning how to use SketchUp, pretty awesome tool. I use it a lot in designing my metal projects, but have found it useful for all kinds of construction projects. I look forward to learning from those experienced in building cabins, and feel free to ask if anyone has any metal working questions. 12493569_10207383066.jpg

Looks nice. Any inside pictures? Dang! What the Lady of mine would give for a bathroom that size. She probably would want me to fill it with accessories! 😂 Enjoy

Thanks for the compliments!! No pictures inside yet, I've managed to do everything but finish the inside. It's just plywood walls and floors. Frank, I've managed to fill that entire bathroom up As soon as I got the bathroom framed in, a construction buddy came into a brand new corner jacuzzi tub. Installed in a house, customer didn't like it, got pulled back out. How could I turn that down. As usual, the glamour of a jacuzzi tub doesn't always shine through in reality. It's way too big, takes up damn near the whole room. I managed to cram a toilet, washer, and dryer in there, but your talking enough walking room for your legs at most anywhere other than directly in front of the toilet. Its crammed, but I dont have to drive to do laundry.

Great cabin! Actually I'm only about to build my first cabin and what makes me really curious the bathroom. Did you manage to put there a shower or a tube (probably something like this) How did you do it?
