I saw this on the news last night. A great deal of CO2 gas (carbon dioxide) is released when concrete is made. This process pumped CO2 gas back INTO the concrete mix where it permanently binds to the concrete mix and becomes a solid.
Apparently the CO2 is trapped and can't harm the environment. The concrete is supposed to be even stronger than regular concrete.

With my 40 acres of timberland I have a zero carbon footprint already. Besides, plants need food too.
