Okay, the MRZR is at home - 750 miles x2 by U-haul car trailer, Albany GA. The inspection and pictures on this one were better than many of the others, 154 hours vs 400 or 500 hours. I paid a premium price because of the condition. $40,100 + taxes and fees of $7,000 = $47,100. Many of the high hour, high rust ones going for around $25,000.

All of the listings show 2017 as the year. In the glove box was a USMC initial inspection report filled out by Sgt xxxxx, of the 2nd Recon Bn, Camp Lejeune, NC. Dated March 2022. It's only one year old, not six!

So if you are interested in one of these there is another new one coming up, Nov 1st, Serial number 688522. Mine was 688518. GovPlanet.com

Ran it around the neighborhood for a few minutes, she is fast. I'm going to do lube and filter maintenance on it and design a canvas top for it. The canvas companies online can make custom canvas with the eye holes. The Polaris Molle Canvas top looks like junk.

We have a couple Amish communities hereabouts that have some pretty good canvas shops; traditional shoe repair too.

For the top. I am going to use a piece of steel plate instead of canvas, 14 GA, 4'x8'. Six 2" muffler clamps to attach it to the roll cage. Paint it maybe flat black?

Read an article last night that this thing will do 60mph. I wonder if it could be used in the Baja 1000?

I know what you are saying but I need to stay camo'd under the trees from enemy aircraft. I just downloaded the Army camo paint manual from Steel Solders. Yesterday I bought a piece of steel sheet, 14 GA, 4'x8', for the top. $143.00 I will attach it to the roll bar with six 2" exhaust clamps.
