Check the end of Gary O’s last threads…Hattie checked in a while back…closed motel and started making cheese during COVID. She was a sweetie…

I'm still alive and still making cheese with my husband. We are enjoying our retirement.
Last summer my husband built a new shed. We call it "the barn" to distinguish it from our other shed. I am pretty proud of him taking on such a big job at 76 years old. We did hire a neighbour (who is a roofer) to do the metal roof.
Both of us have slowed down a lot, but that's okay in our tiny backwoods area. Everyone here moves a bit slower. I hope everyone here is keeping well.

Well, good to hear from you again. Not sure you remember me, but you are Icons when I first started visiting the site.
The barn looks great!! I glad both of you are doing fine and enjoying life. Thanks for stopping in and saying Hi.

Hi its Naturelover 66 aka Lisa.
I haven't checked in for a while but wanted to update this thread when I saw it tonight...
Sadly Tim -Aka Turkeyhunter passed away 4 years ago August. Lou Gehrigs disease and cancer. He passed quietly in the presence of his family and his ashes were to be scattered at his cabin property down there in Georgia.
Trollbridge - Ellen is happy and healthy... we talk often.
I found this small cabin family way back in 2010... everyone...or mostly everyone, was kind and helpful..all sharing a common bond and passion.
My cabin is still my home away from home... it has a deck , addition and is completely finished and comfortable with gardens and a new horse barn.. I spend several weeks a year there growing flowers and veggies and plan to retire there within the next year.
I hope everyone that remembers me is doing well.
