It was too hot to go out to the ranch but I did get this done. It's made from oil drilling pipe left behind on the ranch by the PO.

The base is a 1/4" steel plate I cut with a torch. The motor/controller/battery box was "harvested" from the feeder that broke when a tornado came within a mile of the place.

I've actually built two more and will be using 30 gallon pickle barrels rather than a trashcan.

The other thing I built this morning as well is a jack/stand for my mower to use to clean the deck and swap blades.

so you concrete the pipe in the ground a couple feet????

what will your feed can hold 400 lbs???

Yep. I've used the same unit filled with fish food pellets and it worked fine.
