Does anyone have any experience with the Starlink Satellite Internet Service? If so, I’d like to hear about your experience. Is it worth it?

I believe, it depends on what the alternatives are for the location. Case in point; we are on a ridge top. We get good Verizon data. That suits us fine. Our neighbor, downhill from us in a small valley cannot get Verizon or any other cell service as our ridge blocks the signal. But Starlink works for him. There is no cable or fiber optic availability.

I've got it. I have no complaints. I live in the woods, so I have quite a bit of obstructions. But still works very well 99° of the time. I get good connection to my shop about 75 feet away. They sent me the mini set up for $5 bucks per month. So total $125 for both. I can take it anywhere. Plus it's nice to have a back up if something goes wrong with the main receiver.

Just installed Starlink last weekend. I have the standard 4, took less than an hour to set up. Get good connection out to pole barn about 100' away. I was streaming Hulu and Netflix from my home account in no time. Next is to connect my Midnite controllers to monitor from home. $65.00 a month.

We've had it for several years... on a waiting list for nearly a year until it became available in our area of southern Colorado. We squeaked in with the first 2nd gen dish. Mounted rooftop and has a clear sky view. Exceptional service, where there is no other options other than Viasat and Hughesnet - don't waste time or money on either of those - we had Viasat and the latency is so bad it was very unsatisfactory for Wifi phone use. The router is powerful enough we share internet with two of our neighbors (they use wifi extenders to strengthen the signal) .... as a bonus they each give us $300 for allowing them to use it.
Like darz, we were given the mini for $5 /month and use it a quite a bit as well when we travel and rv.

I've been told to check our plan. This has been steady high speed. When we were on the phone lines for the first decade, if my sister sent pictures, I'd go make a sammich .
