Over the weekend I mowed places I've never mowed in 40 years, in Spring Valley, it was that dry. I mowed right up springs that have never run dry.

Night before last, I came over the knob, it was pouring at Bill and Laura's a few miles from the house, I built their place in 2011. As I turned on to our road, the rain quit, we were bone dry. Another line of squalls yesterday missed us. Tonight, we were having dinner with the neighbors and it hit, violent, she was dodging the gulleys in the drive. Our driveway needs repair before I go to work, but we got some water, woohoo!

We finally had 3/4" total over 2 days a week ago. We remain in an extreme drought situation though.

The wildfire was held to 712 acres and no structures were lost. The FS did lock down a section of the forest south of the fire and that is due to be lifted tomorrow. Friends tell me the gates were unlocked today.
