Michelle had that yesterday just beyond the end of the driveway on the state dirt road. Happily someone must have already called it in, a crew rolled up a few minutes later. The ash trees are dropping constantly. How far away were you? I strolled down to the barn and back today.

We knew high winds and rain was coming and went home, so we missed the actual excitement.

The wildfire was 4-1/2 years ago and burnt dead tress are now falling frequently in windy weather. All the dead ones were logged off our property within a couple months of the fire, except for the hillside our road goes up. It's an easement through the FS land and they were reluctant to let trees be cleared unless they fall over or are in imminent danger of falling.

There are several aspens on the upper slope that should be felled, but I am not comfortable working on the steep slopes anymore. So I wait for them to drop.

I'm happy to hear you are strolling about your property.
