hmm Gar was like flour(he thinks biscuits and pancakes.mostly pancakes)but then we would have to have syrup.he would probably say pancake batter syrup imperial margarine. and a swig of milk. but thats 4 things.so i think he would say a swig on water.
i was thinking if u had taters and oil u could fry them up and catch a squirrel and have a pretty good meal or two and wash it down with coffee.or u could shoot a bird and have mashed taters and quail or dove and coffee.

A stack of cakes lasts all morning and some of the afternoon. Beans,.....well, they last all night...........

.........however, one would need stuff on hand...seasonings, salt and stuff. That way, just a thimble of Maplene, a cup of water brought to a simmer, and a cup of sugar, makes better syrup than the store provides.... Take yer apron off Mrs Butterworth...times are tough.
