what three food staples are the most have to haves at your cabin??

i think ours would be oil,potatoes,and coffee.

1) A bottle Merlot
2) Another bottle of Merlot
3) A spare bottle of Merlot just in case

hmm Gar was like flour(he thinks biscuits and pancakes.mostly pancakes)but then we would have to have syrup.he would probably say
pancake batter
syrup
imperial margarine.
and a swig of milk.
but thats 4 things.so i think he would say a swig on water.

i was thinking if u had taters and oil u could fry them up and catch a squirrel and have a pretty good meal or two and wash it down with coffee.or u could shoot a bird and have mashed taters and quail or dove and coffee.

I'd trade the margarine and milk for a plate-O-beans

A stack of cakes lasts all morning and some of the afternoon.
Beans,.....well, they last all night...........

.........however, one would need stuff on hand...seasonings, salt and stuff.
That way, just a thimble of Maplene, a cup of water brought to a simmer, and a cup of sugar, makes better syrup than the store provides....
Take yer apron off Mrs Butterworth...times are tough.
