KinAlberta Member	# Posted: 11 Aug 2023 17:25 Reply Outside of North America Iâ€™ve seen a fair amount of decking made of planks with a combed or striated surface. Lately Iâ€™ve also noticed them used on planks in Pinterestâ€™s walkway photos etc. (maybe photos out of the UK or somewhere). Anyway, I don't think they are at all common in North America. Is this correct and why?

spencerin Member	# Posted: 12 Aug 2023 17:10 Reply I can't answer if that's correct or not, and the "why" could be any number of reasons, starting with Europe still being quite different culturally than the US. I personally wouldn't want those because they wouldn't dry out as fast due to those grooves, and those grooves would also retain a lot of dirt and other debris.
