my new cabin is on its ways but i have to build the platform...i want to do t@g pine..because it finishes of the floor without having to put anything on top..what thickness are you guys using?

We did our floor with the same siding we did the entire interior with using the flat side with no "v" to do it.
It is 3/4 inch but we put it on top of 3/4 Advantech and a layer of roofing felt.

We decked our 12x16 platform with 1x6 T&G spruce (actual thickness 3/4"). Since we knew it would be exposed to the weather for a couple of years before finishing off the cabin shell, we painted it with 2 coats of oil-based marine paint. Two years of Nova Scotia weather and it was still perfectly sound structurally, although the paint had weathered considerably.
It now serves as our finish floor, but I plan on adding a layer of 3/4" T&G pine that will be stained and ployurethaned now that the cabin is weathertight.

We also used 1x6 T&G pine siding due to it's cost; less than $1 per sq ft... it worked out great.. gotta be careful when picking your boards, check each one by sight to make sure there is as little warping or twisting as possible. I used liquid nails subfloor adhesive and blind nailed the boards with 1 1/4" brads and 2" finish nails. There is no T&G at the ends of the boards so you should and I did face nail it where the boards met and some spots where it needed it due to subfloor. Here is a pic.....

I'd use a subfloor, 3/4" then the flooring on top of that.

I used 2x8 t&g pine from a local sawmill and it made for a very solid floor. It is not "finish grade" meaning it does have imperfections, but the price per square foot was about the same as 1x6 t&g pine siding (a bit under $1/sf).

We used 2x6 t&g pine, but it sat on top of 2/12s at 16" on center. There is no give or movement at all. It was pretty inexpensive.
