My 16x32 cabin is on 4 skids with joists on a 6â€ pad with the skids on 4x8x16 blocksâ€”4 criss crossed over each other and spaced about 5â€™ across all 4 skids. Itâ€™s in the desert so frost line and moisture not an issue. Itâ€™s enclosed with a hardboard skirting.

You might want to think about anchoring it to the ground in some way.

Hello,
We just built a cabin very similar to the above cabin- we put a on a slab. Is there any ideas for skirting options to button it up. I dont think mobile home skiriting will work, as its too low to the ground. Any suggestions would be great!

We needed a small crawl space for the plumbing and electrical. The shortest we could do was 12â€. That cut hardiboard that was used that can be made any size

I've seen cabins built on skids but placed on a concrete pad/slab, so maybe that's what mcallv77 has going on.

mcallv77, why can't you use mobile mobile skirting, or similar type of material, cut down to size?
