I just get straight to the point, I'm from Texas.
"Don't expect a warning shot"
"Tresspassers will be prosecuted"
"No hunting or fishing"
"Smile for the camera"
"Don't disturb the crazy person"
I have a variety, I use the fiber paper ones on trees along property lines and roads. Purple paint is a universal "no hunting" in our area also.
Early on some folks didn't like it, "folks moving in claiming the forest" but I did buy it. These folks usually described themselves as outlaws. We always got along, most have passed or moved on. All the "new" neighbors basically feel like I do, we shared contact info, communicate about activity, and share good bbq together. Nothing like good neighbors, I make a point to be one
