Well the deer I had posted earlier in October which I will post again which I am 99 % sure is the one I shot turned out to be a lot larger than I thought.

Here is this years buck shot out of my hunting shack. So back to back years of blessings from the woods. Last years was posted on here on November 26 , 2020.

. Not too good last few years, a couple doe. Seen some nice buck in archery but too far for shooting. I don’t shoot a buck unless it’s at least 18 inches wide or unique rack ! Thanks for asking. I have to look back at my pics. I shot dandy buck in back to back years, thinking 3-4 years ago. Think I posted both of those. There was a big piece of land that borders mine (400 acres +/-) that was sold into 50 acre lots. Seems like deer are getting less and less ever since. This was about 4 years ago.

So far this fall I have not seen a whole lot of deer. Could be a dry season coming up again. Will have to go north to my sister's farm. Need to make some more deer burgers sprinkled with bacon ends. So good !

Remember the rut is coming, so don't throw in the towel just yet!
But hunting farmland is never a bad idea to fill up the freezer....Good luck and keep us posted...
