Started back on the build! I am getting ready to install my wood burning stove. I have blue slate for the hearth and brick veneer on cement board on the back wall. I am not sure if I should post this question as new or continue on this thread. I need to get some more knowledge from much more experience people then myself. Chimney Stove Pipes are expensive! I have watch all the Youtube videos and read a lot on it. But I was going to use single wall inside then triple above the ceiling. But now I read double inside because it gives you more room between combustible's. (The wife wants a faux beam mantle.) The ceiling is cathedral, so I guess I need a cathedral ceiling box. (No ceiling yet) I did go with a metal roof so I would need to get a 6" boot. But I have seen people using the metal collars on metal roofs with no boot. I believe just the boot is necessary. The roof pitch is 6/12 and sheds snow perfectly! So my question is. Does anyone have a similar cabin and what did they do? I want to save money and do it myself. I am sure it would be over a $1000 to have a professional come and do it. That triple wall is ridiculous in price. So I don't want to buy the wrong thing. I would rather buy from a big box store to get 10% off. (Home Depot or Lowes) Did you use a kit? I know at the stove stores the prices are much higher. Yes, I am going out the roof not the wall. No that is not going to change. https://www.facebook.com/neiljenn.libertycreek

Started the build back up for this year. I got the wood burning stove in and started the electrical. I have to make the hearth a little larger. I thought the snow was done, I thought wrong. ...sigh...

Looking good! That stove pipe is sure expensive, buying it in the spring is the best time as they usually put it for sale to get ready for spring stuff but I see you got it done....
