We have photos of the usual deer, rabbits and foxes but this year was the first picture we have captured of a pileated woodpecker that has been hanging around our cabin and creek. We set up a game camera and caught tremendous video of him terrorizing this old log, lol. Here is a picture captured from the video. These woodpeckers are huge, about the size of a small hawk.

Nature walking through Los Alamos yards and streets today, two blocks from the main business area. One of a group of four.

Sorry, it came out sideways because it's a phone picture and I didn't take time to process it. Anyhow, you get the idea of one of the things that attracts me to Los Alamos.

This one has been hangin' around for a couple years. I think she might be sterile. Never hangs around the other turkeys. The outcast I guess. And she usually comes closer to the cabin after hunting season starts. We nicknamed her Giblet

Bought my land in NH last fall...I've seen lots of moose tracks and droppings but haven't gotten a photo on the trail cam yet.
But have had a lot of other activity. Hundreds of deer photos, and a few more interesting visitors:
Look at bottom left corner of the first pic (behind the big bear): Bear_Cubs.JPG

Wasn't on my property but a park near my dwelling. Spending hours in the woods with a camera is the best mediation! DSC_0314.JPG
