Iirc there is/was a guy on the solar forum who had repowered his with LFP and maybe used the rig as his 'portable power supply'.

Ha, good idea! The roof is big enough for a couple solar panels and with my shade i could move it and follow the sun all day.
Hope LFPs will move that pig vs those huge LAs. I was ready to test yesterday but being the wifes birthday i figured Id stay out of the hospital.

The LFPs can dump a lot of amps same as they can be recharged with a lot and recharge quickly, and they are much more energy dense than LA, seems to me that should be perfect for a little golf cart. Of course you will need Huge wires and fuses!
My guessing aside....Ive seen a couple of online conversion to LFP vids a good while ago, likely a lot more by now. Maybe make AI your friend?

I have no idea what LFP batteries you are going to try, but LFPs normally have a BMS built in or sometimes added on to assembled cells. One of the duties of the BMS is to limit the discharge current. The allowed amperage varies depending on the ability of the cells in the battery. Therefore it is possible the motor in the cart may demand more amps than the BMS will allow. If there is no BMS then you are on your own and might melt or burn the whole thing down. Or maybe the cart has a fuse or a breaker and that will blow or trip.

Got this shitbox going. Yanked the 7 dead 6 volt land anchors, 80 friggin pounds each wedged in there. The 3 LFPa, 39 volts in series and 60 pounds total, move it along my cabin deck fine, but having taken it a few yards down the hill i discovered its one wheel drive., spun my way back. Next step is take it down the hill and try climbing.
