I am not off grid as a lot of you are but I did pick up this LED lantern today at BJs and I think it would be a good addition to all that are off the grid. It was only 19.99 and runs of 3 or 6 D batteries. I got it for outside at the camp fire. I did not try it out yet so I can not say how much light it will make but I think it will be fine. I will post two pictures and everyone can check it out for themselves.

Kirby , I am only 35 minutes away , I try to make it there every week end to check things out or work but it don't feel like work to me. I think of it more like a hobby that I love doing. It seemed like it took me forever to finally start my cabin also.

Got tired of lugging my air compressor around so I bought a small Senco from Lowes. Weighs only about 28 LBS I think. I used it today and it works fine with my brad gun. I also got a new Senco brad gun and air hose free with the air compressor. I didn't try the gun yet but I think Senco is well built. I posted a couple pics so you can see how small it is.

Started my T & G pine in the basement which will be a living room probably. It will be 18 1/2 X 20 . I plan on putting a pellet stove down there.

I got 6 inches of fresh snow today at the cabin. I would hope it would be the onion snow but I don't think anyone would have onions planted yet.
