I've had these for quite awhile, so I probably already posted them . They are refillable squeeze tubes . We've used them all kinds of things. Butter, Even peanut butter. I mainly use them for salsa and French onion dip. Just squeeze it on your chips or nachos. No double dipping. Lol Plus it keeps the bugs out. They make different sizes also.

Chip clips work for me. But yeah, saving a half bag of chips is a rare one.

I bought a 12V air horn kit, and mounted to an old Ryobi cordless drill. I have lots of Ryobi tools, and we always have a charged battery on-hand in the cabin. We haven't had any problem bears this season, but hopefully if/when we do, it'll give them a good scare. It's a 12V unit, but it works fine on 18V. It won't be seeing hours of use anyways. It sure is loud!

Nice! No bear here but I wouldn’t mind sitting behind my fence and blasting a few speeders going by. Limit is 45, 65 common on the narrow winding road.

You can probably get a Speed Radar Enforced sign on Amazon to post up front.....or make your own that says Speed Trap Ahead to make 'em think you are being helpful

I’ve mentioned these before but rarely a day goes by I don’t use one. Pipe cleaners, tiny wire wrapped in cloth. Easy twist around anything, about a foot long, a buck for a couple dozen. Even wrap one around my finger when water on the boill.

Yep. That's a good one Paul. Since you posted this. I've used them as wire ties, bread twist ties and used them to tie tomatoes and plants to trellises or cages.

Quoting: darz5150 Lol. I got a couple last year. Keep one in the car. Handy for little quick cleaning. Also keep this one in the kitchen. Works good for salt and pepper "over spray" My wife use to say I could make a crumb mess with an ice cube. Lol
Lying in bed this morning I noticed the vacuum cleaner hanging by the nightstand. Hmm, I’d use this more if it had a battery instead of plugging it in to the usb every time, thinks I. So I cut the cord, wired up an 18650 and off it goes. All junk I had around, battery, holder, wire nuts, pipe cleaner wire. IMG_5311.jpeg

Ha, yeah I also thought it might really perform at 12v! If I see one at the dollar store again I’ll try it. Also thought about keeping the usb wire connected for storage, but I asked here once before and was told 18650 can’t be left at full usb 5v.

My buck and a quarter store has this electronics cleaner spray. Ive used it on usb and video jacks, especially good for blowing out your phone jack that plugs with pocket fuzz. Little red extension tube included, which blew off and got lost as usual.

Great thread. Being remote you can't throw anything out that could maybe have a purpose somewhere, some time. Everything seems like a gadget I like the little battery bump lights. Always have a bunch of head lamps around. The little power packs that holds a charge for phones n such. Lots of time free. Use recycled heat fuel conditioner bottles for funnels. And recycle plastic pint whiskey bottle for moose calls, one of my favorites Anyone mention a toilet seat that snaps on a bucket, honey bucket. Kinda handy to have around

My favorite glance at cabin item. Time, temp and voltage all in one. Most of you guys probably have something similar. Twelve bucks on ebay or Amazon.

Bought a gallon of auto coolant at Ace hardware yesterday, $17. Right next to it was this RV/Marine antifreeze on sale for $3 a gallon so bought 2. Doesn't get cold enough here to worry about radiator freeze ups much but probably on sale at Ace everywhere.

RV/Marine antifreeze is for winterizing the water systems (and is food grade). Not meant for radiators like automotive antifreeze

Works well for winterizing pressure washers too
