LOL, yeah, I removed and shrank it, but for some reason, the larger image remains. I am going to try this gain.

Man, beat, trenched in full 220V 50A service to a large RV site, then 30A RV hookup to another site, well guy lowered well pump down 20 feet deeper, leveled and groom or opened up 3 sites, added log bump stops, large rocks around cabin, built a loading dock, picked up forest floor for about 5 acres around cabin, slabbed an old log I found several years ago.secure window covers installed. 20250422_095830_resi.jpg

Started on my fire fighting trailer. I've been thinking about this for a long time, designing in my head, looking for water container.
Settled on an IBC tote at 275 gallons. This works well with my operational well at property. (power all underground) and the well pumps out water at a fast rate.
OK, started to collect axle parts, ie spindles, leaf perches, U bolts, hubs, bearings, leaf springs and shackles, rims with tires.
After all gear collected, bought metal, built the perimeter frame last week. Needed more metal to finish design and grabbed some expanded metal for decking.
I have weld on stake pockets, I will build some wooden sideboards, weld on D rings to strap down the the tote.
Weld on fenders next weekend, stake pockets and D rings, should be completed except now gathering plumbing parts.
I have a pump already, sized for 1.5 inch forestry hose, I did have 100 foot 1" forestry hose with fire nozzle now.
Ran out of gas today, yeah, me too. But MIG welder ran out of shield gas. Well, almost out, watching gauge, quit while it was still operational. trailer1.jpg

Stake pockets on all sides, large 12K D rings (I had them I know, overkill) and setting up pump and plumbing now. Bypass or return will be in top left of tank in rear, bung and elbow already installed. Finish plumbing tomorrow and tongue jack on its way.
I sure love my new Lincoln 210MP welder, butter smooth welding... Its a dream machine. Had to refill shield gas, upgraded from my 80 cubic feet to 150 cubic feet. trailer20.jpg

MtnDon, me too, too close of a call in 2015, I have thinned all 40 acres, cleared lower branches, added so much gravel around cabin, doing everythign on my end to mitigate it. Now with power and the ability to fill this tank up fast, total game changer.
But if power fails, will bring my big Honda EU6500is 220V generator to run well pump, can feed it with inside well enclosure.
Should be completed this weekend, will snap some final pictures and then load it into my enclosed trailer, tote will be strapped down into back of my truck.
Tongue was high for my Kawasaki, so I cut the tongue off, installed a receiver hitch on the trailer, part I cut off now pins into receiver and if I tow it with my Mule, use special drop down hitch. I can remove them both to prevent theft too.
I gave it my own 17 digit serial number and also stamped "not for highway use" trailer23.jpg

Well, all done except for a chunk of plumbing for bypass/return line. This is the one ran by the blue valve back to the top of the tank, this sill remain open when pump is running but not using fire hose and when using fire hose, this will almost be closed off, but throttled open a bit to create an internal leak to keep the pump cool when not spraying water. Lower hitch coupler is welded on. Tongue jack is bolted on. I mounted it to the frame vs toungue because I wanted a sidewinder and with the space required to rotate the crank, be a tight squeeze.
The tongue jack is a "drop foot" type, the foot by pulling the pin will drop to the ground and then I still have the full lifting distance of the jack, so works with my truck or the Kawasaki Mule. The back has 2 stabilizer legs that fold up, this will keep the trailer in place and from flipping.
The 2 house couplers on the back are with for a hose, other is a drain. I can make them either or. Depends of I need to peel the hose off to the side or out the back. Hose reel clips on to the tote framework. trailer35manifold.jp.jpg

OK, back from final trip this year, all closed down for the harsh cold winter.
Did get my electric heater installed, this is a Cadet 220V, small unit, at the line voltage I have, ie 240VAC, consumes about 8.1 amps, so 14AWG (14-3 with ground) was used with a 15A double pole breaker.
Works great. Also painted all the trim, first time I painted trim, it has been just body color. Wanted a dark green, went with my Behr stain tinted to M440-7 Rain-forest is the number and name of the color. I always use stain vs paint, the stain has sealer in it.
I did cut one chunk of cement board and painted it body color and slid in over the metal window covers, looks great, so got dimensions, will build the rest for the other 5 window, next trim install.
My son in law does deconstruction and hazardous waste and he ended up with a nice stainless wash basin, so plumbed it in using the shower water barrel.
Neighbor who doesn't live there, has 20 acres next to me, sends me a test to call him right away. He informs me his game camera pick out a cougar/mountain lion. This is about 150 yards from cabin. Was bust over there with all the family, lots of noise, no issues. cabinpaintfrontsidev.jpg

Quoting: DaveBell Window security screens look great.
Dave, I dont even take them off except one for the ingress/egress. Just leave them on. I have brackets to slide in a cement board, 2 seconds to remove, slide up, lift out at bottom, drop down, its out. Keep blowing embers off of glass in a firestorm. Worst of the fire season is over, winding down, no activity near me.
